The Big, Bad 5-0
As you may know by now, our gorgeous mother is celebrating her 50th birthday this year. Shocking, we know. We are all hoping that we got her genes, especially since Jim-Bob says that this year is his 37th birthday...yikes!
Anyway, we are in the midst of putting together a great *surprise* summer birthday bash in her honor. For those of you who remember the infamous Summer Sizzlers, this is going to shame those parties! If it is more convenient, you can even RSVP on this site by posting a comment below.
Finally--and please don't feel pressured in any way by this--after some pondering over what we wanted to get Mom for her birthday we came up with the idea for this website. Mom loves to travel, but thanks to having the five of us, her vacations are limited. So, we thought that in lieu of giving any tangible gift to Mom this year her friends and family might consider making a 'donation' to the Leslie Murray vacation fund. :)
So, if you are interested this is how it works:
Below there is a little button that says "Donate." I have set this up so that you can donate whatever amount you'd like...from 50 cents to $50. This is PayPal, so it is a secure and anonymous way to donate. Nobody else will see how much or who donates anything and you do not need a PayPal account of your own. When you click the button, it takes you to a page where you can enter the amount you'd like to give. You then click update total and it let's you either Log In to PayPal (if you have an account with them) or you can choose to pay with a credit card (near the little credit card logos). Then, you just need to fill in your personal information (again, this is secure) and it should be straight-forward from here on out.
Also, once the big surprise party has occurred we plan on showing Mom the site. So if you'd like to leave her a little note, definitely feel free to leave comments on the site.
